Dear Friends,

This year God’s Outdoors Disciples Ministry has agreed to take fifty whitetail deer that are being harvested as a way of controlling over population in a portion of the county. After the fifty are received we will reevaluate our freezer room, demand and money and may take more. This is all being organized through The Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources. We take the deer to a processor and have ground into burger. We will then distribute the meat out to local food banks in Union County and families that are in need.

We felt lead of the Holy Spirit a few years back to start a branch of our ministry to feed those who are hungry and fallen on hard times and to help the elderly who don’t have anything left after they pay for their medications each month. That is why we started Feeding The 5000. We use to allocate money each year specially for this program but in the last few years we didn’t receive many deer like at first so we cut back and would just take care of the money as it was needed.

This year when approached about this by the Department of Fish and Wildlife, I ask God how many to take. Fifty was the number He laid on my heart and I will be honest, I thought we don’t have the funds to process fifty deer. I felt like God said step out in faith and I will supply your needs. So I called Fish and Wildlife and said we will take fifty off your hands.

Now a process like this doesn’t come free or cheap but we are being given a big break on processing. I feel God wants me to ask others to be a part of blessing others as we are doing. I am writing you to ask if you would consider helping us help families right here in our own area. You can do this by helping us with a monetary donation to cover cost of processing. My friends for $50.00 we can supply an average family with enough ground deer meat for a month. This is heathy, lean meat that can be used in any way that you use burger.

Also if you know of somebody in need please let us know. Your donations are also tax deductible because we are a 501c3 organization. Please make out checks to G.O.D.
