Governor Steven L Beshear has named Stephen M Glenn of Frankfort and Terry K Teitloff of Smithland to four-year terms on the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Commission. The governor also reappointed Dr. James R. Rich of Taylor Mill for a four-year term.
Glenn, 54, is a construction superintendent with memberships in numerous wildlife organizations. He will represent the Sixth Wildlife District, which includes Anderson, Boyle, Casey, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Jessamine, Lee, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, Powell, Rockcastle, Scott and Woodford counties. Glenn replaces R.G. Toler of Winchester, whose term expired.
Teitloff, 58, is a technical services manager with memberships in wildlife and civic organizations. He will represent the First Wildlife District, which includes Ballard, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian, Crittenden, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, McCracken, Marshall and Trigg counties. Teitloff replaces Charles W. Martin of Wickliffe, whose term expired.
Rich has served as Fifth Wildlife District representative since 1976. His district includes Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Henry, Kenton, Owen, Pendleton, Robertson and Trimble counties.
Nominees are selected during public meetings held in each district. Names of up to five people may be submitted to the governor, who then makes the final selection.
Governor Beshear signed the executive order for the appointments July 29. Each appointee will serve for terms expiring Aug. 13, 2012.
